This is an issue we're aware of and will be fixing, if you're willing to downgrade to .32 in the meantime while get fix it then it will work.

does this issue also apply to having a WAC540 AP connected to a XR500, and none of the AP clients showing on the XR500??

No that's likely an unrelated issue to do with the fact that the individual MAC addresses aren't being forwarded to the XR500.

NG doesn't post when new FW is forthcoming. So you'll have to keep an eye out on there download web page.
Downgrade FW if its that important to you to v32.
