XR500 QOS settings keep getting reset
Why doesn't the XR500 keep the QOS settings. I'm running 2.3.2.120 and it keeps resetting the bandwidth settings I set which includes sharing excess which I have to manually turn off daily it seems. Y...

Is it just the Share Excess settings that aren't sticking or are all features in QoS not maintaining changes that you make? Do you know approximately how long it takes for these settings to be reset?

I know at the very least it's the share excess, but I think other settings are resetting as well. The little popup help boxes are reappearing as well, I have no idea what's going on.
I can't give you an exact time frame, but I'll keep an eye on my log today. Since the time I posted this initially and right now, I've had to reset the settings twice.
At this point I'm not sure what I should do. I've heard great things about this router, but can't seem to get any consistent usage out of it. I might go the route of others and just go with the router with best overall coverage and good speeds. Out of warranty period, but bank will still give me a full refund if I can show them that the problems were from the get go.

- Netduma-FraserApr 06, 2021NetDuma PartnerAre you trying to set both applications and devices for Bandwidth Allocation? Also are you thinking it's resetting because the Bandwidth Allocation default view may be different to what you have set? E.g. if you have adjusted devices but it defaults to application view you may think it has reset when it hasn't
- AlvinLCApr 06, 2021AspirantI'm adjusting the device settings, but checking application settings whenever I feel like I'm slowing down. It's not that I think it's being changed, it is being changed. I can set it for what I want certain devices to be allocated bandwidth, without fail daily it will reset to how many ever devices are currently or were at the time connected to the network and divided equally amongst them.

How many connected devices are we talking about roughly? Are you able to reserve IPs for all of them and then see if bandwidth allocation settings will stick?
