Xr500 Randomly Shuts off
It's been doing it a lot sometimes randomly and will happen twice no matter if I shut it off or not. It happens also when I start to stream which it will shut off twice.
What do you mean by "shut off"?
Does the XR500 actually lose power or just drop internet?
When internet drops, are wired devices affected as well as wireless?
It's like when you reset your router through the Interface on your computer and wifi and all connected devices get disconnected.
- When you do a factory reset all devices will lose connection so that is normal. Is the router connected to a power extender? If so could you plug it directly into a wall outlet please and see if that helps. Also when the disconnections happen do you see any entries in the log around that time?
- It happened last night couldn't get a picture since my camera wouldn't turn the flash on and I haven't been able to see the log while it happens since it's at a random time everytime. It will randomly do it while I'm home the only device connected to it was my phone. I'll move it to the wall instead of the power supply. I've never had a router that just randomly shut off when ever it wanted to.
- If you can provide some logs we may be able to determine the cause, it could be power fluctuations which is why I mentioned to use the wall outlet. Let us know when you can.
