XR500 Readyshare W11 Home
Works perfectly on 2 W10 Pro laptops. Not so on 1 W11 Home, Sorry to say I don't remember if it ever worked on W11 machine or not. Years ago .. b4 W11, Gearhead gave me some instructions which ha...

First of all, it (W10 Pro) is working perfectly!!!!!!!!! I can't be sure exactly what was wrong or what fixed it. I did a sfc and Dism routine and it would not complete. Rebooted machine. Did an elevated Disk Cleanup. It would not complete. Did a CCLEANER PRO routine which completed. Rebooted machine. Dism/sfc again. They completed. Disk Cleanup again and it completed. Rebooted machine and it came up just right. Problem solved. Now have mapped M: and N: readyshare drives in Explorer. Backing that up now then on to W11 Pro. I expect it to work. Will see soon. đ
Of course thank you Sir .... for everything. Will come back to mark SOLVED once I see W11 Pro on that machine.

Any help is appreciated in advance.
Does that mean that you want help in getting Readyshare to work in Windows 11?
For me at least it is simply a case of ensuring that SMB1 is enabled.
They have moved the way in.

In my case, ReadySHARE drives are attached to a redundant R7800 router in AP mode. USB drives on ReadySHARE show up in the network as \\R7800\.
My experience is that Windows explorer, whatever the flavour, has a habit of losing network connections. This applies to NAS boxes as well as USB storage. I have to use the known location get at them. So I keep a set of shortcuts that I can take whenever I want to access external devices.

Yes.
SMB 1 (and options) is active. The only evident difference between you and me is the model of the router. Thank you for responding. W11 is configured just like the working W10 except for I can map drives on W10 machines and can't seem to on W11.

It is no great secret that the XR500 is based on essentially the same hardware as the R7800.
Can you see your USB drives in the appropriate settings on the router?

It would be a secret to someone never exposed to an R7800.
Yes, Sir ... else the 2 W10 machines wouldn't.
I'm 99% sure it has something to do with the W11 machine/OS installation. I'm about to try an OS repair on it.
There are a couple of ways to access those drives. 1 is to map 'em which I can do on 2 W10s. I don't see how on W11.The other way is directly which works on both W10 and W11.
EXPLORER: This PC. In right hand side, Network locations select ReadyDLNA:XR500 (Media Server). New window. Select Browse Fo;ders folder. New window shows each drive ... i.e. sda1 folder and sda2 folder.I can get at the drives on any machine as described above. I cannot MAP to them on W11.
Thank you for your help and valuable time.

It works here with the usual "right click" option in Explorer.
You need to read that alongside my previous screenshot.
\\R7800\ is how ReadySHARE sees the router (in AP mode) on the network.
