XR500 restarting with multiple 5G connections
Hello, let me start off by saying I am by no means a network engineer. I have been using the XR500 for a while now, and have been experiencing this issue from time to time, however it seems to...

Correct, I currently have Smart Connect disabled. I will try running it with it enabled for a while.
One other thing I tried is I moved the router to a completely different wall outlet. In the past 24 hours it has only reset once while I was trying to stress it out by having a lot of devices streaming over 5G. It would usually restart multiple times per day.
Possibly a power issue?

Might also enable 160Mhz as well on the router.
Check the Nighthawk mobile app for Armor activation. If it's not active then your ok.
What devices do you have connected on 5Ghz and what kinds if downloads or streaming are you doing all at once?

Sorry, but what is RBR?
Nothing crazy in terms of devices - at most it's two iphones, two tablets, an xbox, a PC, and a laptop streaming. It generally restarts once 4-5 devices start streaming content, usually just netflix/youtube. Again, this does not happen if I force the devices onto the 2.4ghz network instead of the 5G one.

I meant router. Sorry about that. I get stuck on Orbi stuff sometimes.
160Mhz should be under Advanced Settings/Advanced Wireless settings.
Possible that having 4-5 devices all streaming maybe over loading the router on 5Ghz. Having too many connections could cause this.
Does the router feel extra warm or hot when this happens?
Not sure of this could help however you might try the beta FW thats over on NetDumas site for the XR500:
Not sure if that could help since there only developing and testing the DUMA OS portion of the routers FW.

It looks like maybe I can't enable HT160 in my region (Canada) for some reason. Option is greyed out.
Router never feels too warm to the touch when it resets.
I have moved the router to another wall outlet and have it plugged directly into the outlet and I have seen an improvement so far. Hopefully not just a placebo, but it doesn't appear to be restarting any more. Will keep an eye on it and report back.
