XR500 Security Updates

Question

How long will XR500 get security updates onward? They released a securtiy update 14th agust 2026 and it came by a suprise&nbsp; for me that they still update the router. I thought that the rounter was in End Of Service?

It is.&nbsp; &nbsp;But Netgear sometimes elects to update firmware anyway.

Though its EoL, depending on severity of issues see, NG can elect to put for a security update. Will not be seeing any new feature updates however.&nbsp;
