XR500 severe packetloss with Discord

I got the XR500 today and I'm having the most absurd issue ever with Discord, with my previous router it did not happen

The computer is connected with ethernet to the router

When I run the Discord application on my computer I get severe packetloss in voip[around 40-50%]

However when I run the Discord web client I get 0% packetloss on my computer, and when I run the Discord android app on my phone which is connected to the router I again get 0% packetloss

So whats the deal here and how do I fix it?I can't keep using the discord web app because of issues and I want to go back to the discord program

This is a issue with the router because it did not happen with my previous one.

  • That's very strange, most likely what is happening is that either it's getting blocked by the Geo-Filter or Traffic Prioritization. Try disabling each one by one, does it work after that? To disable Traffic Prio you'll have to untick DumaOS Classified Games.

      Hi Netduma-Fraser

I disabled QoS completely, did not help

how exactly do I disable Geo Filter completely? I turned the range to the maximum and made sure no devices are selected but it did not help with the Discord problem

I also discovered that I'm having a much more severe problem with the router, I have my work from home laptop connected with Ethernet to the router and my desktop is also connected with Ethernet to the router, I run a Windows Remote Desktop when I want to work on my laptop from my desktop

Now I am getting freezes every few minutes, the session freezes - the picture does not update but my inputs are registered because I can see their action after I reconnect.

I did a quick google search and disabled UDP and it seems to have reduced the frequency of the freezes but it still freezes, needless to say this did not happen with the previous router

The way you disabled was fine, may be a port issue for both. In WAN Settings switch NAT from secured to open then reboot the PC, does it work then?
