XR500 speed test only getting 50% speed
I got 1g from my internet provider. Just bought it updated firmware and etc.. when the speed test went on only clocked my speed at around 438mbps and upload at 42 mbps. Don’t care about upload really. When I connect my pc to the modem itself I pull between 800-968 rarely get the 1g. Why is the router saying I’m only getting half of it when it does the speed test. Trying to figure it out. My whole house is ran off it and my devices like roku keeps buffering unlike with my old cheap router. Any help would be appreciated first router I have ever had with settings like this.

did you go in and manually change you qos speeds? If it was ran on your previous speeds, you need to re-run/reset your upload/download speeds.

- That initial speed test in the setup wizard isn't always correct. As above it sounds like you will need to change the bandwidth speeds to account for the 1000/1000mbps. Once you've done that redo the test and see what you get.
