XR500 what should I do? Upgrading Modem
Hi I'm new here I'm an owner of an xr500 I have Xfinity gigabit internet I'm currently using the xb7 with it in bridge mode and the xr500 as my router I've been having more problems with Comcast then ...
Okay I agree on the router I already have it but my main question was about the modem part would getting the CM 2000 be my best choice or could I get the cax 80 router modem combo disable the Wi-Fi part of it and still use the xr500 or get the cm2000<xr500<S8000<every other device?
If you're planning to use the XR then you don't need a router modem/combo - as all it will be doing is passing traffic direct to the XR so you would be paying more to have it function as a basic modem. Any modem should work really!
