xr500 won’t find internet connection after powering on, after completing setup wizard and powercycling

Are you able to access the interface? Do you know if you require PPPoE or VLAN in order to gain a connection?

    Yup, I have access to the interface, not sure what is needed to connect? The isp would be where to find out right?

        Yes you would need to ask them. If it's PPPoE then in Settings > Internet Setup you will need to select the option for login and then enter your PPPoE details and then choose the connection method Always On.
