XR700- Manual Firmware update
Hi All,
Trying to Manually update the firmware of a XR700 due to DUMAOS not loading error when tyring to access the home page
Using a MAC and connected via the ethernet directly to the router. I start a terminal window and follow the TFTP process to try to upload V1.0.1.50.img
CD
CD - Dir where the file is
tftp 192.168.1.1. ( Mac is on 192.168.1.2)
binary
Put XR700-V1.0.1.50.img
I then get the error DIDN'T RECEIVE ANSWER FROM REMOTE ?
This process has been done after a rest of the router , i start the set up process through the browser but then get the DUMAOS error after checking for updates and selecting next
Any ideas ?
Thanks
J
You won't need to do the TFTP process for this issue, there is also a physical process you need to do to upload via TFTP so the way you're doing it won't work. Go to routerlogin.net/adv_index.htm and that will take you to the Netgear settings part where you can initiate an upgrade.

yes all loded correctly but the wifi is still not working for some reason, wifi enabled under set up . This was after a power cut at the house, so not sure if its taken something out on the router. Cable connection is ok

Disable the WiFi radios in Settings > Advanced, apply, reboot from the interface, wait 4 minutes, then access, enable WiFi radios, apply, reboot from the interface, wait 4 minutes then see if it is working
