XR700 Bricked!
All of a sudden, my router admin page started to display this (on firmware v1.0.1.48) Thinking a factory reset would solve this, I went through the steps and was able to get through the ...
I didn't make any changes, just noticed the R-app error when I tried to log into my router.
Using the adv_index.htm way to access can you downgrade back to the version you were using prior to the issue occurring then reset and see if its back to normal please?
Just tried this (again) and it didn't work. The Router becomes bricked again and nothing comes up (and yes, I followed the wait-unplug-wait-reboot process). The weird part is when I re-apply 1.0.1.48, the router comes back up but retains all the settings from before. This tells me that the firmware is not being applied successfully. I now suspect that my memory is going bad (or that there is some other hardware failure).
Does anyone know how to perform diagnostics on the hardware?
- Upgrading/downgrading does not wipe settings, that's why I mentioned to reset, unplugging won't do that, you'll need to initiate a factory reset from the adv_index.htm page or by holding the reset button in the back of the router for 30 seconds, then release, wait 2 minutes then access
