Thank you but the issue is confirmed as a corrupted nvram issue per the other link in my original post. This was likely caused by a failed firmware update.
Just need the Linux command lines to reconfigure the nvram.

I think once you have reset the NVRAM initiate a reboot via telnet and it should work. Otherwise you'll have to make a ticket directly with Netgear and see if they can provide the relevant commands.
- DDS1962Jun 06, 2022TutorUnfortunately Netgear will not support. Out of warranty. Telneting into it voids the warranty anyway.
The link in the original post show the third set of commands. (Erase). None work as the commands and directory structure are different on the xr700 AD7200
Will try the web setup as you suggest.- DDS1962Jun 07, 2022TutorSame result. What is so maddening is we know that netgear knows how to solve this and they will not provide the KB to do it. It was their firmware update that bricked it!
Looking for the full set of Linux telnet commands to reset, commit, erase and reconfigure the nvram in the xr700. I am still stuck at the command after “nvram commit”
Thanks everyone. Would love to revive this once amazing router. This experience is so maddening I already replaced it with a competitor’s model. Fed up with netgear’s “planned obsolescence?”- Netduma-FraserJun 09, 2022NetDuma PartnerAccess the interface using routerlogin.net/adv_index.htm that should take you to the settings page, then try to re-upgrade to the latest or another version and see if that can get you access - after that would also suggest doing a factory reset from there as well.
