Xr700 no update after 1year
It blows my mind how these assholes came out with a new router and one year later we still have no update for the XR700. Netgear and DumaOS have been promising an up date to stay Patient. They literal...

Every company is going to bring out new products, just because you have an older product doesn't mean support has been dropped. Also just speaking about our personal experience, we launched our first router in 2014 - doesn't even have AC WiFi and we're still releasing updates today. We have no intention to drop support for the XR700, porting to different router architecture is tough but I'm confident we'll have a beta version very soon for people to try out.
- HartsgroveSep 28, 2020ApprenticeYou’re really kidding me right? I have personally been talking to you and two other Duma OS people over the past year. You yourself literally promised about five months ago they’re very close to releasing a new firmware. The one thread that close out has tons of people with the same issue and you literally told him the same thing take the bait a firmware you guys are going to release a firmware update to be patient. Knowing in this EXR lineup this being a $500 router instead of fixing this problem first you guys decide to make a completely different router with new firmware for that one. Yet you’re gonna sit here and argue with the customers and somehow make it their fault for having an old product. Everybody brought this product last year and paid $500 for it no one saying they’re going to cut support but the support they have on it they’re not doing anything about it. When you guys release the beta that was supposed to be a quick fix as you yourself called it do I need to go back and screenshot everything you and your friend said that work for Duma OS? According to Netgear there’s absolutely no issues nothing wrong with this router which is laughable seeing how this is a Netgear website and there’s several threads on this. It’s a joke and you know it is whether you work for the company that scamming people are not. If this company had any dignity they would’ve fix the problem with the first router which was a flag ship $500 router instead they go make a brand new router and somehow someway a brand new software for that router but are still has a beta quickfix that doesn’t even work.
- HartsgroveSep 28, 2020ApprenticeI’ve been having this problem since last October threads going back from October 2019 with this issue here is a screenshot from January of a hot fix and you saying after that that update is coming very shortly. One year with a $500 router and still have a hot fix firmware update that doesn’t work but again they manufacture a new model router with new duma OS software unbelievable.
