I'm having the same problem but my plex option is completely grayed out and it says my current version is none? So I have lost it completely. Netgear really needs to do something because this is ridiculous. When someone buys their expensive products you expect them to work and they suppose to have support that actually helps you.

grayed-out means there is no USB HDD attached. you may need to recheck the USB connection again.
