    I feel dumb. I updated my intel ethernet connection driver and its seems to be working fine now. Thank you for the reply.

That is really strange that it works in game but not in the lobby, do you have the Geo-Filter enabled at all at this phase? Might be that when you go in game you force a connection to them that just being on Discord doesn't force.
