XRM570 Wifi DHCP Issue
Hi, since I bought the XRM570 (XR500) I am having this issue: From time to time, randomly, the router does not assign an IP address over WiFi. The devices indicate "could not assign or get an ip ...
With or without the extender, same issue.
With or without Smart connect, same issue.

Do you have any electrical/wireless devices (e.g. headphones, remotes etc) within 3 feet of the router?
The only devices that are at least 3 feet are: UPS and Modem (the WiFi network is disabled).
I attached the log from the last reboot since everything works smoothly.

Hi, sorry for the delay. The problem had not occurred again until yesterday.
The "Traffic Controller" tip doesn't do anything.
All my WiFi devices are like this:
If I see the router log, it has too many DHCP requests from my devices (they all have reserved ip's). They happen almost every second.
Rebooting the router from the interface, it worked. All WiFi devices work without problem.
Today I was working on my PC (connected via cable) and suddenly, I lost the Internet connection. The error that I got was "dns server is not responding". My DNS server is 192.168.8.1 (my router), which points to 8.8.8.8.
My wife was using the tv connected to wifi without any problem.
Trying to manually configure the 8.8.8.8 dns server on my pc, I got the same error.
I tried to open 192.168.8.1 in the browser it said "the server is not responding".
Then in cmd "ipconfig / release and ipconfig / renew" and I got this:
"The DHCP server timed out."
I thought that the problem was only in WiFi, but it turns out that it also happens by cable, only that my pc had a reserved IP and a fixed IP.
At that moment my wife tells me that she does not have WiFi on her phone or on the TV. When I check, no device could connect to WiFi, my computer (only device connected by cable) could not connect either.
So DHCP issue is general, but it is the first time that the router freeze completely .
I had to unplug it from the wall and plug it back in. Everything works correctly.
One thing that I have noticed is that only the power led is on, no matter which option I choose in the interface. There isn't any blinking led.

Thanks for the detail, I'm unable to see the screenshots you've provided yet as they presumably need to be moderated.
There isn't currently a known issue with DHCP on the Nighthawk Pro Gaming routers, however it's quite rare relative to the amount of users. Netgear are aware of this and have been investigating it for some time, from my understanding the cause of the problem is known so it's a case of fixing that now.
It's interesting that this issue crops up for you on a seemingly monthly basis, that would suggest to me that the issue isn't occuring because of a lease expiry.
Have you experienced this on all firmware's or did this only occur from .114 onwards?

It happens in version 114 and 120. I'm using the .120 version as suggested and still having the issue.
At the time of posting this, everything was working normal until I lost internet connection on all my devices, wired and WiFi.
I ran to my computer to check if the issue was the same but I found the extender lost communication with the router:
Router Link LED: OFF
Can't access or ping the router (from my pc which is wired) and a few seconds later the extender was like this:
Router Link LED: RED
Then I was able to access and ping the router. Few seconds later the Router Link LED was solid white.
In the "System information" I saw that uptime was "4 min", so... it rebooted itself (or maybe crashed?). It had never happened to me or maybe I never noticed. Is this normal behavior?
As I said above, in firmware .120 the led from the router don't work as before, they don't blink. Only the power led is on. Is this normal?

Are all devices connected to the extender? Are devices that aren't connected to the extender getting these issues too?
It does sound like the router has rebooted itself, that's not normal but it is symptomatic of this issue. Do the lights blink when the router is functioning as expected or are they never showing any activity?

There are 37 wifi devices in my house (smart switches, smart devices, smart cameras, tv, etc.) according to the router. 20 of them are connected through the extender.
First time that I noticed a reboot.
The lights do not blink despite network activity (all devices connected, watching YouTube, playing games, etc.). This happened in update .120, in .114 the lights were working properly.

- Thanks for that, copy the WAN IP from the XR System Information page then access the Huawei and enter it into the DMZ function. Also on the Huawei set that same IP as static/reserved for the XR. Then see if the problem is resolved/happens less please

Hello, the daily reboot did not occur yesterday. However, the same DHCP issue occurred again.
This time it happened in a way that I had previously noticed.
In my country we suffer from electrical problems, voltage spikes and power outages.
The router and modem are connected to an UPS, which allows me to continue having Internet and WiFi.Today we suffered a power outage that lasted approximately 2 hours. As soon as the service was restored, I realized that no WiFi device could connect to the router. I unplugged the extender and the problem continued.
Only my phone and my wife's phone were still connected to the WiFi, as soon as I logged out and tried to connect, my phone was not getting ip address.
The only way to connect my phone was by putting a fixed ip, because with dhcp it does not work.
My PC which is wired, DHCP is working fine:

It seems that when the electricity returns, the large number of devices trying to connect to the router, the DHCP collapses or blocks or believe that there is an attack?
I must clarify that the router never turned off during the power outage and I have not restarted it either, so I have still the issue. I have not wanted to reboot until find something that solve the issue.

- The only fix for this will be a software fix from the NG devs, while this is something they're working on I don't have a specific ETA on that but I'm hoping it will be relatively soon. Given it was caused by power fluctuations I think the only thing you can do is to reboot it
I "solved" the issue without rebooting:
- Disabled XR as a DHCP server.
- Installed DDWRT software in my R9000 (which was operating without problems until I decided to upgrade to XR).
- Configured the R9000 to work only as a DHCP server.
- Everything is working flawlessly. WITHOUT REBOOTING THE XR.
So... there is definitely a very serious issue with DHCP on the XR.
I think it is a lack of respect on the part of Netgear that they don't solved this problem yet. If you search on this forum or Google, you'll find people with same problem. It's a shame that the experience of the users and DumaOS, is affected by this HUGE issue.
DHCP functionality is basic on all routers. I describe this issue like: A glass of water that cannot hold water.
Hoping that Netgear fix this soon.

There isn't currently a known issue with DHCP on the Nighthawk Pro Gaming routers, however it's quite rare relative to the amount of users. Netgear are aware of this and have been investigating it for some time, from my understanding the cause of the problem is known so it's a case of fixing that now.
It's interesting that this issue crops up for you on a seemingly monthly basis, that would suggest to me that the issue isn't occuring because of a lease expiry.
