Admin Password Lockout
After a recent IOS update to my ORBI software my administrative password is no longer recognized. I have read the customer postings and reset my system and changed my password online, but unfortunately the software is still not recognizing my log-in. I have not performed the full factory reset, since the system is still working fine and I find this to be a PITA I do not want.
I called customer service to see if there was any other fix and got a repeated hard sell on buying a 1-year technical support package for $129, all to resolve what should be a simple problem to fix with their software password recognition. This seems like a big scam to me, like when Apple slowed down their iPhones to get people to buy new ones! My system works fine the password recognition for the software does not.
I have no hardware issues, this is a programming issue with password recognition and it solely attributed to NETGEAR. I did not change anything and for them to fix a problem they created they want $129? Does that just smack the consumer right in the face or what?
As you can tell I am both frustrated and disappointed.
