Hey CrimpOn, thanks for the response..
To answer your questions:
1. The Android device was on the same network and local to the router.
2. I am not using Open VPN, instead, I'm using "ZeroTier" for a variety of reasons (it works very well). ZT only allows me to connect to a computer on my network via remote desktop, and then I connect to the router directly from that device. ZT is also installed on my phone as a VPN which I use to access my surveillance system remotely.
I like the Orbi for performance, but the quirks with updates etc are a real pain đ

Zero Tier. Wow. The forum introduces me to amazing things!
On the Android phone, does the menu option for Anywhere Access appear at all on the Settings Menu when the phone is connected to the network? (For me, it is the bottom menu item under Settings.)

CrimpOn,
Yes the enable AccessAnywhere slider is visible at the top of the screen. Selecting it results in the failure. It is also visible in the settings menu.
Regarding ZeroTier... I'm a huge fan. the UI for setup is fairly straight forward.. It doesn't run on our Orbi's though, but it does allow access via the web UI of a network connected computer (remote desktop or other remote software).
