bug with Firmware Version V4.6.3.7_2.0.49 - extra devices showing up in iPhone app - RBR752

I posted this to a different forum and didn't get much help, so trying it on the forum dedicated to the iPhone app.

long story short, after an upgrade of firmware, a whole bunch of extra devices showed up in the app.  they are not connected of course, but it's obvious some sort of cleanup wasn't done by the developers.  I can delete them one by one. If I knew where the device list was in the CLI I am sure I could edit the file. Netgear has been no help. It's only cosmetic that these extra devices are there, so I have not dedicated much time to fixing this.

My understanding is that the Orbi remembers every device that has ever connected.  This may be in case the user enabled Access Control and selects the option that new devices cannot connect.  "Oh, I saw you six months ago and you were allowed, so you are still allowed." And, with the new feature on devices to create a new MAC address every time they connect to a WiFi network, there can be a lot of these devices.  I found over 120 devices in my Orbi app, even though only 40 were connected.

On the Orbi web interface, Advanced Tab, Security menu, under Access Control, there is a table called "View list of allowed devices not currently connected to the network" (down the page under the first table).  I believe clearing most of that table will clear them from the Orbi app as well.

If clearing the access control doesn't work, a factory reset and setup from scratch maybe needed. As mentioned before.
