Can’t login to iOS app as I don’t agree to the tracking
I went to login to my 4 year old Orbi today, and find that because I don't agree to be tracked, that I can't login. No option to say no.
seeing this is a change from Netgear. I had brought the device because it had an app, and used the device based on that, no tracking requirement was stated.

Sneaky Devils. My guess is that 4 years ago you undoubtedly agreed to Netgear's Terms and Conditions without tracking them down and reading section 12.4, Data Analytics.
https://www.netgear.com/about/terms-and-conditions/
The Bad News is that using the app is not what activates Netgear's section 12.4. Using the Netgear product at all is enough.
Netgear does not appear to be alone in collecting information from customer equipment. (I have only surveyed a couple of WiFi router vendors. TP-Link actually uses the term 'analytics'. Without reading every word, there's no way to guess what could be buried in other Ts&Cs.)
Probably will not want to look at Section 4. Changes to the Terms and Conditions.
