How do I disable these new device notifications?
Just yesterday, I started receiving notifications from the Orbi app when a new device connects to my network. How do I disable these notifications?

If Access Control is not enabled, then my guess is that those notifications will cease.
p.s. I have a concern that Smart Parental Controls (SPC) may be enabled (perhaps unintentionally during the original setup). On my Orbi 'app', when I click on the box for SPC, it does not show "Home".

Yeah, SPC requires subscription, so I definitely haven't set it up. My SPC tile looks like this:
And when I click on the SPC tile, I see this:
I'll try disabling Access Control. Thank you.

The reason I asked for the specific Orbi system model number is on my ancient RBR50 Orbi with the current Android Orbi 'app' this is what my Parental Controls brings up:
My Orbi is so old that it never made the change from Disney Circle to Netgear SPC. I do not have a more modern Orbi router which is set up to use the 'app'

SPC won't have anything to do with this. I've seen same notifications with Orbi app and don't have SPC enabled on my Orbi system.
- pgamDec 05, 2024TutorFYI, disabling Access Control does not resolve the issue.

Something that can't be disabled.

And I'm okay with the notifications now that I understand what's happening. I thought I was going to be receiving notifications each time a device connected to my network, like if I left the house with my phone and came back, I would get a notification. But it appears I'm only getting notifications the first time a device connects to my network (i.e. when a device that has never connected connects). I'm assuming this was a result of me performing a factory reset on the router.

Yes. I'm getting same thing as well, only first time connected devices is giving a notice.
