Orbi app on iphone 14 logon timed out

This morning, I upgraded my iPhone 14 to 18.4 and I can no longer login to the Orbi app.  Everything worked fine b4 updating. I can access my router config via my browser, on my PC, but unable to access via my iPhone Orbi App.  I continue to get "Logon timed out, please try again.  If this issue persists, try rebooting your device.

 

Unfortunately, rebooting device, even my modem & Orbi, doesn't help and I continue to get the error.  I have looked up in several places and never could find an actual workaround for this problem. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled the Orbi app and continue to receive the same error message.  I have also reset my iphone network settings and still doesn't work.

 

Any help is greatly appreciated.

  • This is unfortunately true.  iPhone 18.4 has broken the way the Orbi app connects.  The forum has seen (literally) dozens of posts.  Thus far, what appears to be the situation is:

    • Netgear is aware of the problem.
    • No solution has been announced.  Nor any time frame for when an updated app might appear.
    • The only work around appears to be using the web interface.  Customers who must manage their Orbi when not connected to the Orbi local network can enable OpenVPN and reach the router that way.  This is not a trivial task and if the need is not critical, many would choose to "wait it out."
