Orbi App Time Zone

Hello flyingmoo,
Welcome to the NETGEAR Community!
I understand that your Orbi app time and date are linked to the location of your iPhone causing your automatic network access times to be adjusted to your current time zone. Manually setting your iPhone time zone to the location of your Orbi router will resolve this issue.
Please follow the steps below to turn off automatic time zones on your iPhone:
On your iPhone navigate to Settings>General>Date & Time> Toggle off "Set Automatically" > Select the time zone of the location your Orbi router is located.
Best,
Kevin

Hi Kevin,
Thanks for the reply. Yes that is the work around I am doing, which results in the loosing the benefits of having the iPhone on your current time zone. The other apps and features don't function correctly. Seems silly that the Orbi app does not use the time zone where the Orbi is located.
Oh well...

Sounds like, "oops" to me. When I travel across country (or used to before Covid), it was always jarring to see my Outlook calendar reporting events in local time that corresponded to my home location time. Wait, this says my plane back takes off at 5am??? (when it was entered as 8am Pacific Time).
Just sloppy programming.
