I believe the app needs a NG online account to connect first:
https://www.netgear.com/support/#
Use this log in first to connect the app, then use the routers log in admin and pw when directed.

Thanks, but I don't understand your response. I do have a NG account, and the Orbi (Insight) app makes me sign in when I first open it. But then the app wants me to add a location; which I did, but still was not able to connect/see my router.

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?Has a factory reset and setup from scratch using a wired Pc and web browser been performed since last FW update?

I have a model #RBR50v2 with firmware V2.7.3.22. This is connected to a Arris router. I don't think it's a hardware issue. I can connect to the router via my browers, but when I log into the Orbi app it connects me to the Insight account.
