Oh my. This is strange. Please explain which password was changed.
Netgear Orbi systems have three sets of credentials:
- The WiFi name (SSID) and password.
- The Orbi web interface credentials ("admin" which cannot be changed and a password)
- The Orbi 'app' credentials which are usually an email address and a password.

My understanding is that Anywhere Access is a feature of the Orbi 'app' that is unique to each device that the app runs on. i.e. a person could have the Orbi app installed on three smart phones and Anywhere Access could be enabled on two of them and not on the third. The smart phone must be connected locally to the Orbi router to enable Anywhere Access.
Can you check that the smart phone in question has Anywhere Access enabled?
