Orbi RBR40 iPhone App
Yesterday I upgraded my iPhone to 18.4 and I can no longer login to the Orbi app. Everything works fine and I can access my router config via my browser, on my Mac, but unable to access via my iPhon...

UPDATE: I just got off the phone with Tier 2 Netgear tech. It appears that iOS 18.4 release did affect the iPhone Orbi app. V2.44.0 is the current version of the app and a new one is due out in next few weeks (hopefully the end of the month). It was refreshing to understand this is now a known issue (18.4 is a new OS) and that Netgear is working on a fix.
You can always logon through your browser and manage any configuration needs in the meantime.

Installed the newest Orbi update today and it still doesn’t work. It has been almost 2 months that we haven’t been able to use the app. This is getting ridiculous

It’s even worse for me. On my app the username is defaulted to “admin” with no ability to change it. Which I have. I don’t keep default usernames/passwords. Anyway I can’t change it. It’s stuck on “admin” with no way to change it. I also can’t type in a password. No that isn’t the default password either. So it’s a totally useless update on my end. When your teens have had enough screen time and you want to block them but don’t want to turnoff your internet completely it’s extremely frustrating that I now cannot block their devices absent going to my office and using a computer. Logging into my netgear/orbi account and doing it from the office. This is absolutely absurd. I don’t know how to attach a screen shot but I thought I was losing my mind and no; turns out the orbi update from 5/7/2025 , at least on my phone has left the admin default username as the username (no ability to change it) and the password the default password (no ability to change it). Add that I am dealing with teens here and the level of my frustration with the inability to use the app is getting high.

Admin has never been user changeable.
There is pause buttons now for each connected devices to stop internet services.
Also hard to manage devices due to Random MAC address features now seen on phones, pads and laptops. You may want to check into some external DNS services to help here, look at OpenDNS or NextDNS.
New version of Orbi app is working for me on iPhone.

I manage MAC addresses for Access Control and found out when we upgraded to our current iPhone that there is a Private WiFi Address (found in Settings/WiFi). I turned this off and no longer had issues with "new" MAC addresses causing issues with the access control of our phones.
