its well and widley known that the Orbi app doesn't work for Anywhere Access at this time. No word from Netgear on a fix or interest in providing one.
That may be a tiny bit exaggerated. I have four Android devices that all connect to my Orbi through both Anywhere Access and Connect Locally. There was a full month when the Android app could not connect locally and this meant that any device that had not previously enabled Anywhere Access was unable to connect at all. Once the new Android firmware was released through Google Play (why "Play???" rather than "App Store"???), those four devices all now connect both ways.
My sense is that it is the attempt to enable Anywhere Access that is failing on iOS devices.
