Correct. If you change the routers admin log in PW on the RBR using the WEB UI, the Orbi app will not see this change so you'll need to input the new PW once you lunch the Orbi all.

Thanks Furry,
So if I login to the Orbilogin.com web interface and I change my password for that login. Does that new password follow through to the Orbi App? Meaning the next time I use the Orbi App it will ask me to login and I will need to use admin and the new password?

Same however one can load in to the RBRs WEB UI page using a web browser with that log in address and use same router log in information, i.e. admin and password. Orbi app is also tied to your NG profile account which you may have already set up.

Orbi has three sets of name/password credentials:
- The WiFi login, which is set at the factory to the letters "O-R-B-I" plus two digits and some combination of words, such as "sillymonkey26". Users often change these credentials to match the previous WiFi router so that user devices do not have to be reconfigured.
- The router web administration credentials, which come from the factory as "admin" and"password". "admin" cannot be changed and the user is badgered into changing "password" into something more secure. Netgear routers intercept attempts to resolve several domain names, such as routerlogin.com, routerlogin.net, orbilogin.com, and orbilogin.net and substitute the IP address of the router itself. The web admin password can be changed from the web management interface.
- The Netgear profile credentials, which are usually an email address plus a password. This is used by the Orbi 'app' to login to the Netgear "cloud". It cannot be managed from the Orbi web interface. They are entirely separate.
