OK I get, I think we all get this trusted device thing is a bug but this particular denial of access has been happening for over 4 years! They can't get someone to write 3 lines of code to fix it (or get rid of it altogether) in that amount of time? I found the workaround the 2nd time it happened; but damned if I didn't spend at least 3 hours on THE Orbi app and various Netgear landing points looking for any "Push To Device" settings. BECAUSE THERE ARE NONE!!!
I feel bad for folks new to Netgear, trying to log in their first time, discovering what a confusing trash heap their app software is.

What mobile device do you have Orbi app installed on? Apple Or Android?
Be sure to disable any MAC Address randomizers on phones and pads while at home:
