What Do the Lights on the Orbi App Mean?
While using the Orbi app, we noticed that the circle around the Home text on the Devices screen changes color. We've seen it green, orange and red. We've not been able to find any docum...
There is a prize for the first person to find documentation about the Orbi app.
We Old Timers are often dismayed by the fact that modern 'apps' seem to expect the user to discover for themselves how to work the app by random clicking, dragging, 'long pressing', etc.
My Android version of the Orbi app does not have a little house on the Devices page. Guessing this screen shot is from an iPhone?

Please read again - there are labels for LINE and DOT.
Android:
- Solid line: Ethernet connection
- Dashed line: WiFi connection
- Green dot: Connected
- Amber dot: Poor connection
- Red dot: Not connected
iOS:
- Solid line: Ethernet connection
- Dashed line: WiFi connection
- Green dot: Connected
- Amber dot: Poor connection
- Magenta dot: Not connecte

Yes, I saw the link with the article. However, my question was about a screen shot that had a house surrounded by a green circle, so it's neither a line, nor a dot (I've seen plenty of those elsewhere in the app).
I also had that green circle turn orange and red.
It's quite likely that the meanings of the colors are consistent, but it's still unclear to me what an icon of a house that is inside an orange circle, for example, indicates.

Can just guess what the green ring does want to tell us - based on observations with a similar Netgear App (Nighthawk App)
- Internet Router Online
- Local connection (App <-> Orbi) up
- Anywhere Access up, router <-> cloud connection active
Possible further indications might be status of the Orbi Router <-> Satellite(s) Mesh connection(s), similar to the above
Either way, more useful information is certainly available on the Orbi Web UI.
Worth having an eye on ADVANCED > Administration > Logs
That's all I can share with you - as I'm not operating any consumer Orbi Mesh systems.
