2.4ghz band showing half speed
Hello everyone, I have the AX6000 WiFi Mesh System (RBK852) and I am noticing that under connection status it is showing 2.4G as only 573.5M but shouldn't it be 1200? I may be missing someth...
You should also keep in mind the 20/40hz coexistence.
The 2.4ghz band doesn't have the same channel availability of the 5ghz. So if you're in an area with other 2.4ghz signals, its going to set the 2.4ghz channel width to 20hz which drops the speed in half which is roughly the 600mpbs link speed.
You can disable this function but its kind of an A-hole move to your neighbors.
