2.4ghz band showing half speed
Hello everyone, I have the AX6000 WiFi Mesh System (RBK852) and I am noticing that under connection status it is showing 2.4G as only 573.5M but shouldn't it be 1200? I may be missing someth...

Thank you for the response! Not that I want to annoy my neighbors but I’d love to test this out. Could you tell me how to do this?

It might work and be broadcasting the faster speeds, but it can slow your network down and your neighbors.
Reason why (very simplified) is 2.4ghz devices can't be broadcasting at the same time. It waits for other networks/devices to finish first. Then it goes. Usually you're only taking up 3 channels and it reduces the amount of devices that will be interfering. With that disabled, you're actually broadcasting over 6 channels because you're 40hz wide instead of 20hz.
So more devices could be broadcasting on those channels as well as those devices have to wait on yours.
If you live in an area with a bunch of wifi, its not a very neighborly thing to do as well as it can slow you device down as it has to wait on more devices. So it might have a higher link speed but not much faster throughput and it might increase the latency a bit.
