2000M Fibre Broadband and Orbi Routers

they want to install the Tp-Link because it has a multi-gigabit port (but it only has 1x of them). Your RBK750 doesn't. Its limited to gigabit-only speeds.
Will it work with your service? Yes. But you won't get full multigig speeds.
If you're wanting mesh, you'd need to upgrade.
Or you can keep your current setup. It just means you won't be maxing out the 2gig speeds.
If you're wanting to max out the 2gig speeds with a mesh system, you'd need to upgrade to the RBK860 series (only 1 multigig port), the RBK960 series (2x multigig ports for in and out), or the RBK970 series (6x multigig ports).

I would caution on getting invested in multigigabit internet. Usually the only things can can saturate or get higher than gigabit speeds is speedtest sites. Most web servers aren't going to saturate those speeds because if they did it for everyone, they wouldn't have any capacity or would have to pay an excessive amount for their servers.
I really didn't notice much difference going from 300mbps to 1.2gig service. Again, because the servers supplying your speeds, aren't going to saturate it.
Plus most services don't take much speed anyway.
Streaming 4k only takes 25-40mbps.
Gaming is even less than that.
So unless you're moving significantly large data files/databases, you won't see a whole lot of difference from 1 gig to 2 gig service.
So I'd caution investing a bunch of money in a new system yet.
Maybe in a year (or couple) when multigig routers are more common it'd be a bit more fiscally viable.
That is sound advice and makes a lot of sense. I think I will reconsider my plans for 2000M. Maybe in a couple of years and to be honest 1000m has served me pretty well so far

Not saying to don't do multigig as it can be fun to play with or if you download massive (truly massive) files from servers that can support those speeds.
