20/40MHz Coexistance (RBK963)
I have tried responding to the thread titled "Orbi 960 2.4GHz Bug Causes Devices to Disconnect from 5GHz and 6GHz Networks" twice now. Yesterday's response disappeared in a couple of hours and today...

I had a problem with my two satellites getting ip address renewals multiple times per day and my iPad dropping its 6GHz connection at about the same time. I turned off the 20/40MHz coexistence feature a couple of weeks ago. Now my IPad has been rock solid and I get IP renewals every 12 hours (down to the minute) for each of the satellites. I'm not sure why this is working for me but I'll keep monitoring things.
As FURRYe38 pointed out, 20/40 coexistence should have no effect on either the router-satellite connection or on devices which use 5G (or 6G) frequency bands.
If this phenomenon can be replicated, that would be very interesting indeed. i.e.
- Change the coexistence setting.
- Monitor the behavior..
- Change the setting back.
- Monitor the behavior.
If changing this 2.4G setting can cause this sort of change, one would think Netgear would be grateful to know about it.
