Apple iPhone/iPad Connection

I've just enabled the router.local/debug.htm details logs - saved as a zip file.  It should have captured an initial disconnect with my iphone. And just as i was about to save the log file, i was walking around with my laptop using a live streaming video test URL (test.spotme.com) which has no buffering... and as soon as i returned to my upstairs office, it dropped the connection - to be more precise, it said (identifying - on the wifi symbol). And after a minute it says connected - but it looks as though it has remained connected to the downstairs main router (hence it has a very weak signal) - even though there is a satellite in my office a metre away.
