Been using this for over a week now and performance is good. Not sure what I am missing out on by not spending the extra $200. We have 6 poeple in this house, over 40+ devices with kids streaming all the time. And my AppleTV in my garage works just fine while I work out. So what I don't know won't hurt me, I guess.
Overall, I am happy with the 4200.

Speeds - both wired and wireless are working much better than with the old orbi. Before I had to go direct into the modem in order to max out, now I'm pretty close to max wired with the orbi connected as the router rather than an AP.
So far so good. It "feels" faster although I don't know if that's me justifying the purchase or it really is.. :)
