I'm in a hell of my own making! My old Orbi mesh system had a bad satellite and I couldn't find a new one to replace it, so I decided to upgrade to the RBK753 with 2 satellites. The setup was going w...

Can't. And I presume you don't recall or didn't see what version is was?
Something you can try with the RBS.
What you need to do is factory reset the RBS. Wire connect a PC to the 1st satellite📡. Already have the most current FW version files downloaded on to this PC.
Wire connect 1 PC to the back of the RBS. Factory reset the RBS, wait about 5 minutes. The PC will get a IP address from the satellite📡. The RBS will be 192.168.10.250 for Orbi AX. Use this IP address in a web browser to log in to the satellites web page. Log in as admin and password. Use the satellites 📡 web page FW update feature to select the FW update file that was unpacked from the .zip file. Then factory reset and then re-sync the satellites 📡 to the RBR.

Thanks! I need an adapter so I can connect my Macbook to the satellites, but once I find one, I’ll give it a try.

A version of this worked, thank you! Because the router was updated and working, I just had to hardwire each satellite to the router and sync each to get it to give it an IP address. This is helpful because I don't have an ethernet port on my Macbook to wire directly to the satellite. Then I could type the IP address into my web browser, log in to each satellite, and update the firmware. Working fine now.
Lesson learned, don't update the router firmware before the satellites!

Backup configuration to file:
Glad you got it working. Please mark your thread as solved so others will know. Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.
