Can I use my C6250 Cable Modem as only a modem and add on an Orbi as my router?

You also have the option of leavef the C6250 in router mode and putting the orbi in access point mode.
You can use the C6250 as a backup wifi or to even offload some of the closer devices to it.
I've used that option before.
Just make sure to have it on a seperate ssid from the orbi and to have it on a different wireless channel to prevent interference.
