Can you identify this setup?

Hello,I've recently moved out of my home and into a new townhome. When I went to the closet where all the network cables are, it was a bit different than my previous home.&nbsp;In total I have seven Ethernet cables coming to this location. Four of them are for the four Ethernet jacks located around the house. Those aren't connected to anything right now. One of them is wrapped with a piece of black tape that's connected to this smaller white box. From that box a gray cable (looks like a phone jack plug) is leading to this larger white box labelled as a FTTdp Network Terminal Device by Casa Systems. &nbsp;From this Casa Systems box is an Ethernet cable labelled GATEWAY.&nbsp;I'm not familiar with this setup. I'm assuming the other end of the Ethernet cable that's plugged into the GATEWAY port of the Casa Systems box is what my CenturyLink router is connected to in another room.&nbsp;I want to remove the CenturyLink router from the equation to use my RBR960 and the two satellites. I already know I need my PPoE and VLAN tagging setup on the RBR. I had this setup at my former home. But in my former home I didn't have this extra box in my smart panel in the closet. I'm not sure what it is exactly. Do I need it?I assume the Ethernet cable that's wrapped in black tape is what's connected to the ONT somewhere outside and this box is converting the signal or whatever somehow.&nbsp;&nbsp;Ideally, if I can but this out and the CenturyLink router to just use the RBR, then that's what I want. But if I can't remove this Casa Systems box, do I need a network switch to plug in the other Ethernet cables so I can access the other Ethernet ports around the house. If so, what is a recommended switch that supports VLAN tagging?&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

Something to ask the ISP about to see if that particular equipment is required or not.&nbsp;
Ask them about WAN configuration for the RBR if there is any.&nbsp;

Looks like it is required. Something to do with older wiring in the area and this converts it to fiber speeds.

Now what I need is an Ethernet switch. Does anyone recommend one that supports VLAN setup that I can use with the RBR 900 series?

Try NGs GS-108T or just a GS-108 non manages to see if the RBR can connect to this ONT correctly.&nbsp;
Direct connect RBR to ONT doesn't work?&nbsp;

I think I need a switch to connect the other Ethernet jacks on the first and third floors though. Trying to figure out how I can use the Ethernet jacks in all of the rooms in my house. I can't fit the RBR in the panel box with the ONT. It's way too big. Right now the Ethernet cable leading from the ONT in the photo is connected to the CenturyLink router in a different room. I can remove the CenturyLink router and use the RBR. It works and I tried it. But since the RBR is another room I can't plug in the three other Ethernet cables that are in the panel box in the photo.&nbsp;&nbsp;Don't I need to purchase a switch for that? Not really sure how to set this part up. If I plug the switch directly to the ONT, I should be able to plug in the other Ethernet cables in the panel box to it, correct? Do I just ensure one of those leads back to the RBR in the other room?
