Glad you got it working. Please mark your thread as solved so others will know. Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.

Even with a ethernet connected PC to the back of the RBR and using 192.168.1.1 or try 10.0.0.1?
Check on the connected PC to see what IP address it is getting from the RBR...
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Did you set the Orbi system using Orbi app or a wired PC?
Be sure to disable any MAC Address randomizers on phones and pads while at home:

Thanks very much for the help. I did get into the Orbi Admin Login and changed the CTS/RTS to 2347, but unfortunately the smart thermostat is still the same - has full wifi, but no internet. I may just have to buy a new model thermostat. Thanks again.

Perhaps it would be worth a few minutes to investigate a couple of things regarding the thermostat.
How does the Orbi Attached Devices describe the thermostat?
- It appears on the list of devices that are connected?
- It has an IP address?
- Which Orbi unit does it show the thermostat connected to?
- Does the Attached Devices page show that Access Control is "on" or "off"?
(At the top of the page, above the list of satellites)
If Access Control is "on", navigate to the Advanced Tab, Security Menu, Access Control.
How is the thermostat described on that screen? ("Allowed" or "Blocked")

Hello again, so sorry I have been gone for awhile and thanks again for your previous responses . I'm finally back working on connecting my Trane thermostat to the internet. I just read another post and someone solved this problem by unplugging the satellite and connecting to the main router. I have tried that and the thermostat now connects to wifi (strong signal), but still has no internet access. It now shows up as an attached device. It has an IP address, a mac address, access control is shown as allowed (not being blocked), but still no internet access. Any additional help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Try connecting this device to the IoT network if your Orbi system FW is loaded with v7.x FW.
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Something to contact Trane about regarding there product.
