Try connecting this device to the IoT network if your Orbi system FW is loaded with v7.x FW. 

What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?

 

Something to contact Trane about regarding there product.

Thanks again for the response. I do not have v7 firmware on my Orbi RBK850. I took your advice and contacted Trane this morning. After an hour on the phone we were not able to correct the problem of no internet connection. I plan to contact NetGear support and see if they have an answer.

    Have you set up the separate IoT WiFi network on the RBR and see if it will connect there?

      Just talked to Netgear support and the issue has been resolved. In my admin account under basic wireless, I had to uncheck the box for AX 2.4Ghz. The thermostat is not AX compatible, so with that box unchecked it will now connect to the internet. Thanks very much for your help.
