Cannot add RBS750 satellite
I have an ORBI RBR750 router with one RBS750 satellite. I am trying to add a second RBS750 satellite. The new satellite appears to sync -- turns blue -- but the network cannot find it as a satellite....

Ok ya if you can get to the log in using the assigned IP address, log in should be admin and password is all.
Have the RBS FW file downloaded to the PC and unpacked from the .zip file and then once on the RBS WEB page, you can send the .chk file directly to the RBS.

So no IP address given to the incoming RBS seen on the RBRs web page?
If not, try this PDF process to get the RBS updated:

Thanks! I can get an IP address on the RBR web page by attaching the satellite with an ethernet cable. I tried to enter the IP address and got the popup window and entered admin, but did not know the right password. Sound likes it might work with <password>. I will try that, and if not, I'll follow the process in the PDF.
I have an iMac, and the router is far from the iMac (part of the reason I want the satellite), but I can work it out if I need to. Thanks again.

Thank you so much, FURRYe38 ! This worked smoothly. For future reference, here is what I did:
1) Dowloaded correct firmware from Netgear site and had .chk file ready on my desktop (zip file unpacked automatically).
2) Connected satellite with ethernet cable to router to get an IP address. For some reason, the Orbi app on my iPad did not update to show the satellite as an attached device, even with multiple logouts and logins, but the router web interface on my iMac worked perfectly. The satellite did not show up as a satellite, but did show up as an attached device with an IP address
3) Entered IP address in browser, logged in as admin with password <password>.
4) Selected Firmware Upgrade from menu and uploaded .chk file
5) Signed out and signed back in to the router IP address. The satellite appeared correctly, and I did not even have to go through the <add satellite> process.
6) Disconnected ethernet cable and synced satellite and router using normal process. I first did this with the satellite right next to the router. When that synced correctly, I unplugged the satellite, moved it to the correct location (in a backyard office), and synced again.
All of the devices near the added satellite did not switch over immediately -- i.e., some stayed on the router even though it is much further. But I just signed in and all except a printer have switched over. The printer requires a 2.4 Ghz connection, so that may be why -- I don't know. But my iMac, WIndows laptop, and iPhone are all happily connected.
Just FYI -- The main reason I added this satellite, was because the Windows laptop, which has to connect through a VPN for work, had such a slow connection that my company tech support could not help me with certain things. The VPN makes it slow, but the upload speeds were nonfunctional, like 2 or 3 Mbps. I just tested that, and the upload is now10.8 Mbps, which is not fast but workable. So the satellite is doing its job. (The other devices that do not go through a VPN were lightning fast even without the satellite, but it's still nice to have an extra satellite ion the system. It was always amazing to me that the router worked from 60 feet away through walls and windows.)

Glad you got it working. Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.
