It doesn't really matter what that means.
What the network settings are for the device you are trying to use is what matters.

But supposing your using windows you need to look a the network interface settings, IP address, whether it gets it's address automatically (DHCP), default gateway and any other settings that might be relevant.
I don't use windows as my desktop and don't have one I can refer to at the moment so I can't be more specific.

I need to wake up in a few hours to go to work 😩I suspect that the thread you were refering to isn't related to the problem your seeing becuase if you your trying to plug a desktop into the satellite and you haven't changed the network settings it should already be set to what was recommended in that thread.
But we should check just in case.
