- No. They are different.
- The Orbi app uses the Netgear login and password.
(Usually the same credentials used to access the community forum.) - The Orbi web interface (www.orbilogin.net or www.orbilogin.com ) always has the user name "admin" and whatever password was set when the router was initially configured. (It comes 'out of the box' set to
"password" and one of the first steps is to change it.)
- The Orbi app uses the Netgear login and password.
- If a web login is rejected three times in a row, the web interface pops up that Password Recovery page which wants answers to security questions that were supposed to be filled in during the initial setup. Many customers skip over this step by accident.
If you cannot come up with the web password, then the only way to gain access to the router is to do a Factory Reset and setup from scratch - which erases all settings.(and puts the password back to "password".) - Lots of settings can be changed with the Orbi app, but the web password is not one of them. (nor can the app change any 'advanced' settings.)
