I just purchased the CM1150V connected to Comcast with an older Orbi RBR50. Just stating the obvious. Only one device a PC or router can be connected to the CM1150V. If you are using the ethernet ports for multiple connections it will not work. Any changes may require a powercycle or reset on the Modem. Don't make any changes if some connections work and you don't have the time to troubleshoot. I can't guarantee these changes will work for you. Who knows it might make things worse. Good luck.
What I did with Netgears help to fix the connectivity issue between my Orbi and the CM1150V.
- Internet IP Address - Get Dynamically from ISP
- Set Router Mac address - Use Computer Mac address
- Domain Name Server (DNS) Address - Get Automatically from ISP

I did connect my Orbi router directly to my laptop (with the WiFi adapter disabled) and verified that the connection works.
I don't know if I can directly connect a satellite to the Orbi router outside of just test purposes, since the location of where I'd like to have the satellite is on a different floor/area of the house. The ethernet connection is wired to the switch that I referenced before.

You can move the satellite to the same floor for testing purposes.
How far is the satellite, on the second floor, from the router? Sometimes you have to move the satellite to a more desirable location, which may not be your most desirable.

I measured the length of the room on the 2nd floor. I would say it's somewhere between 20-35ft in total.
It's in the same location in my family room where I currently have my EnGenius WiFi extender (which has worked fine with my old Comcast modem/router/switch setup.
