Compared to Google Mesh

Question

I have installed the Google mesh in a 3 level house using 6 wireless and Ethernet backhaul nodes; and also a 1200sf apartment using 2 nodes.

I’ve been asked to upgrade the mesh system. Would you recommend the Orbi?

The main complain of the Google mesh is the WiFi would stop working for 5 to 10 mins suddenly at odd times. So, the person would be on a Zoom call, and then disconnected and unable to reconnect later. Weird part is the other nodes work, so she’ll have to walk close to the other node.

It seems it’s doing an upgrade or self test. I’ve no control over it.

For that size of home, router and just one RBS would be needed.&nbsp;

"Out of the frying pan, and into the....." comes to mind.&nbsp; Each mesh WiFi system has unique features and "issues".&nbsp; Google has several models of mesh WiFi (as does Netgear, Linksys, TP-Link, eero, etc. etc.)&nbsp; What is Google's customer support policy?&nbsp; With Netgear, purchases from authorized sellers come with 90 days of 'complimentary support'&nbsp; After that, either purchase a support contract from Gearhead or hope that the community forum can suggest solutions.

My Orbi WiFi5 system has been chugging along for over seven years.&nbsp; Others come to the forum describing all sorts of hell and frustration that Netgear says, "Pay first. Then support."

Which of the Google systems is this and what does Google (or their customer forum) say about this?
