Connecting 2.4Ghz Cameras to Orbi Wifi 6 Mesh
Hi all, I know there have been many posts about this topic already, and I have reviewed each but it appears that my issue is unique. I have a recently acquired Orbi Wifi 6 Mesh system that includ...

Hi all, just an update to let you know that I have resolved the issue with the assistance of a TPLink WA850RE. I installed one of these in proximity of both and connected the cameras to this repeater. The Repeater then connects to the Orbi Guest wifi and provides stable 2.4G transport without any further adjustments to parameters.
I think the discussion about changing settings on Orbi's 2.4G setup in a residential environment just confuse the issue more. This was a simple range issue despite the fact that the Orbi app was telling me the cameras had 91% and 86% signal strenght in their positions. The App appears to be in-accurate or at least my understanding of what this reading really means is wrong.
So to close this off, my recommendation for everyone who I've seen have issues connecting 2.4Gh devcies, is to either get a second Satellite or a simple Repeater.
Thanks to those who offerd assistance.

See if changing CTS/RTS Threshold to 2347 under Advanced Wireless Settings helps - I think this improves compatibility with older wireless devices, but I've seen it help when they cannot connect at all vs. periodic disconnects. If no change, next also try disabling AX mode for the 2.4Ghz band. There are the two biggest wireless things that change when you use Orbi AX.

Glad it's working. For reference, about how far were the two cameras from the nearest Orbi AX RBR or RBS? And on the same or different floor? I'm curious to compare the distance vs. what was reported by the app as their signal strength.

Mikey94025 ; Camera 1 is about 14mtrs from the RBR850 through 4 brick walls along teh way, and camera 2 about 10mtrs from the RBS850 satellite through concrete slab. Camera 3, which was a test dummy, was placed in the garage above the RBS850 Satellite so was only a few metres through the slab. That one was stable.
Note also, the RBS850 Satellite is about 5 metres away from the RBR850 through brick and concrete but they're connected via an ethernet cable. The backhaul status is indicated as GOOD.
Thanks again to everyone who offered assistance and advice on what to try.
