Connecting a network switch causes satellite to lose connection

Hello

 

I have an Orbi RBSE960 router and satellites. When I attempt to connect a Netgear network switch to one of the satellites, it immediately loses connections and goes offline. Once the switch is removed, it comes back online. It has the latest firmware installed. Backhaul is wireless. The other satellite is connected via ethernet to a Windows PC. Can anyone suggest a solution?

    1. what switch is it? 

    2. does it happen to both satellites or just one?

    3. Anything else connected to the switch?
