Hi im not sure about the modem i think i read online it is Nokia.
I use Cat 8 for all routers and other connections aswell.
Software version is latest, netgear team chrck this firstly everytime and i keep an eye also on it.
My home size 1700sqft and generally with satellite connection of 2nd node wifi covers my house 98% but the problem is speed drops to 50% when I'm away fr main node. Also when connection drops the problem is not that I'm out of range the range is full aometime im next to satellite node but still im not connected and when i try ro connect manually it asks for password, so i close my wifi in phone or restart router and it connects again.
All problems of speed and range gets solved if i use satellite node with wired connection but connections drops more and appeara offline in Orbi app.

For that size of home, the RBR alone is enough and having two RBS deployed is too much:
I would turn OFF one RBS and then reduce the power on the RBR from 100% to 25%. Under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings
Can you find the model # of the Nokia?
What version of FW is loaded on the Orbi system. v.11?
- Tabish_ArshadOct 19, 2022AspirantActually not, since my if i disconnect my satellite i dont get range in my 3rd room, actually too thick concrete walls in my home i believe. Previously i was using linksys velop 1 each in every room total 4 and had great coverage but not amazing speed hence upgraded to netgear.
My software version is 4.6.9.11
Nokia version difficult to find as it is kept in my ceiling and i use wall ports to connect router.
Problem is not in the main router but only in satellite node.
The youtube video is too technical for me to understand.- FURRYe38Oct 19, 2022Guru - Experienced User
Looking to see if ISP modem or ONT has any built in router and wifi.
Concrete will be problematic for wifi.
What happens if you place the 1st RBS out a bit farther and set the RBRs power to 100%? Leaving the 2nd RBS turned OFF.- Tabish_ArshadOct 19, 2022AspirantAs far as i know its just a modem, since it is installed by du operator who also provides linksys routers when we take new connection.
Due to concrete situation i purchased ORBI852 to get good speed.
I haven't tried power setting of the router, let me give it a shot, but in my last room ill still be gettling satellite coverage only i know and the problem of speed and connection drop will remain i think unsolved.
Also when i do satellite node wired i noticed it works as 2 routers and if im moving around the network drops then disconnect and reconnects, which is wierd for mesh router.
